Post E3 Nintendo Sale.

Good ol’ninty is offering up to 50% off on digital purchases on their E-Shop through June 18th. Among the titles are a lot of 3DS and Switch favorites with some falling under $15 USD. The largest price drop goes to NBA 2k19. This title is down from $80 USD to $3 USD. Not a big surprise as sports titles tend to lose value the quickest. We do have a short list of ‘Just over $15’ honorable mentions: Cuphead for Switch and Monster Hunter Generations for 3DS are both excellent games and come out 2 dollars over the $14.99 cut off. Rune Factory 4 (3DS) also falls short of the 15 dollar list by 3 USD. Even at $17.99 the game has a  lot of depth and learned a lot from missteps made in the RF and Harvest Moon series.

As a Nintendo fan I’m especially happy to see several first party games included. The likes of Mario Odyssey and Mario Kart 8 Deluxe should make the summer a bit more tolerable. I’m also a big fan of indies (or Nindies as Nintendo likes to call them) and we see many of those close to and below the $15 mark, including Undertale. I also applaud Ubisoft for bringing Starlink Deluxe Edition into the range of ‘reasonable’ from their normal AAA price. The game would have been so much better if tons of content were not gated off by the toy gimmick. Now a lot of the positives the toys included come in the game. A lot is still locked away and some of the cooler and better ships and weapons are not included but there’s enough there to actually enjoy the game as it should have been at launch.

I highly suggest you check any titles you were interested in. Go directly to the E-Shop and look them up. Sometimes ol’ninty forgets to mention a few in their press releases and some super duper deals can be sniffed out with just a few minutes of search bar sleuthing. Good luck and Good hunting!
