Guinea Pig Parkour – Inside a cartoon – Still Brewing
What do we know so far?
Who is behind Guinea Pig Parkour?
The game is being solely animated and developed by Jeff Mumm. Music duties have been assigned to Fat Bard. Other than that this is so far a one-man project.
What kind of game will it be?
As the title implies the game will be about parkour and a guinea pig. The game is set to be an homage to some of the early classic action-platformer games. Such as Disney’s Aladdin for the SNES and Earthworm Jim.
It will also contain adventure game segments reminiscent of Sam and Max.
Where will we find it?
Currently, the focus in development is for Windows release. The game is being made in Construct 3 which has native exporting to Mac, Linux and Xbox One as well. If everything goes according to plan the developer has also indicated plans to pursue PS4 and Nintendo Switch ports down the line as well.
When can we get it?
Currently, there is no confirmation of the dates. While plans have been stated for a December 2020 Early Access release. The fate of the game and the schedule will be dependent on the current Kickstarter campaign and other such funding tools.

Joe (the guinea pig) is a regular guinea pig in a cage with other guinea pigs. One day his owner accidentally spills coffee on him and he becomes turbocharged. Now Joe will go on an adventure, possibly to get more coffee, the details here are vague.
The game is set in the ’90s and the creator’s intention is to create what feels like a playable cartoon. The art is the standout of the game so far and is highly fluid hand-drawn animation. The art-style, sense of humour and overall quirky concept bring to mind shows like Rocko’s Modern Life, Ren and Stimpy and many other Cartoon Network classics too. While the gameplay contains elements of as mentioned earlier Earthworm Jim, and Sam and Max, it also contains elements of Super Mario 64.
With a coffee cup themed character and the collection of coffee for power Guinea Pig Parkour is a no brainer contender for Game of the Year for us here at Sip Read Repeat (for whichever year it comes out).

Coffee of choice: I like the sweeter kinds, mixed with chocolate, coconut, caramel etc. but I won’t turn down a flat white or a straight black either.
