Temtem, gotta catch ’em all – Still Brewing
What Do We Know So Far?
Who are behind Temtem?
Developed by the studio Crema and published by the well known Humble Bundle team themselves. It is Crema’s second full game (non-game jam entry) after Immortal Redneck an old-school FPS game.
What kind of game will it be?
A mixture of creature-collecting RPG and MMO (massively multiplayer online games). Temtem is heavily inspired by the Pokemon franchise and is probably best summed up as a Pokemon game with lots of people playing simultaneously.
Where will we find it?
Temtem is set for a wide release, there will naturally be a PC release of the game. But it is also slated for PS4, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch console releases. No word on crossplay yet.
When can we get it?
Scheduled for a January 21st release, the game has undergone Alpha tests and has server load tests scheduled now. Assuming their stress tests are successful then it looks like their scheduled release date should be as planned.

As mentioned previously, Temtem is very heavily inspired by the Pokemon games. This means you’ll mostly be exploring a vast world, battling and collecting monsters. Raising said monsters and even evolving them into stronger forms. And ultimately in the single-player story campaign, you’ll be fighting dojo leaders to be the very best like no one ever was. Well, no one except Ash and anyone who finished the Pokemon games.
Why not just play the latest pokemon games? Good question, and honestly the Pokemon games really hold up well. However, Temtem has not only a new cast of monsters and a vibrant new world. But it also has the ability to play with, against and trade with real people all over the world.
I mentioned both with and against, while Pokemon has the ability to battle and trade with other players. Temtem goes a step further and allows complete co-op battles where you and a friend (or even a friendly stranger) can team up to face an NPC or maybe even another team of players.
Honestly as a Pokemon lover this is a really exciting prospect. The graphics are great, the designs are awesome, you can customize your player.

Coffee of choice: I like the sweeter kinds, mixed with chocolate, coconut, caramel etc. but I won’t turn down a flat white or a straight black either.
