6 Steam Indies on sale this week (Week 18 2020)
It’s the most wonderful time of the week. That’s right, the part of the week where we talk about all the great deals on Steam and list off 6 Steam Indies on Sale this week. As usual, a few of last week’s games are still 90% off. And if you follow the rabbit hole down the list a lot of the older lists’ games are back on sale as well. However, this list isn’t about all those games. This list is about new heavily discounted games to beef up your Steam library.
Starting off our list of 6 Steam Indies we have 911 Operator. This game developed by Jutsu Games and published by both Game Operators and PlayWay S.A. Is a simulator, management, strategy game of sorts. As the name implies the game puts you in the position of a phone operator taking 911 distress calls. Once you take the call you are then tasked with assigning the appropriate department (i.e. ambulance, fire engine, police) to attend. But not before confirming the validity of the call. However, this isn’t as easy as it may seem, while some calls will be general “I need help now please send someone” others get a little tricky. Sometimes you’ll get a prankster trying to waste time. But other times a “pizza order call” will actually be code for when the situation is too dangerous to speak openly.
It’s an interesting game and at 90% off until May 7th, it’s almost an offense not to take a look at this one.
Deployment is a top-down twin-stick shooter brought to you by Whale Rock Games. This marks their third appearance on a Steam Deals list as Timelock VR and We are the Dwarves have both been featured in previous lists. This game as mentioned is a top-down twin-stick shooter, however, unlike most games of the genre, this one is a mostly competitive game. Containing a lot of arena shooter mainstays such as team deathmatch, capture the flag, domination, etc. The game has procedurally generated levels and uses a class system giving you a lot of variety. For instance, you might find that a Sniper class works for you in a deathmatch. But for taking over areas in domination a pyro might be more fitting. The choices aren’t quite endless but when you pair them with procedural levels and random people from the internet they are.
If you want to make the biggest splash you can pick up all 3 Whale Rock games in a bundle for 80% off. However, if you already have the other games or don’t own VR equipment it might be best to grab just Deployment as it is 90% off until May 8th.
Dead Age is a post-zombie apocalypse roguelike RPG. Developed by Silent Dreams and published by Headup Games. The game combines an FTL styled roguelike experience where random events occur mostly in dialogue and choices matter. With a traditional JRPG turn-based RPG battle system. The game also uses a permadeath system. So if one of your fighters dies that’s it for them. But you can also get replacements if luck is on your side. However, if luck is really on your side maybe no one will die at all. With a mixture of RNG (random number generator) luck, skill and perseverance you can rule the Dead Age.
At 90% but only until May 5th you’ll need to shamble faster than a corpse to take advantage of this deal.
Catch a Duck
Developed by All Those Moments and published by Ultimate Games S.A. Catch a Duck is a cute little puzzle game where the goal unsurprisingly is to catch a duck. But it’s not as simple as just chasing and grabbing the duck. You’ll need to use your wits and be the slyest fox you can. Oh yeah, you play as a fox in the game. There are also wolves, bears, rabbits, and even human hunters (hunters that are human not hunters that hunt the most dangerous prey, man itself). The game also has tunnels you can use to move around and traps all over the place. Most of the game will see you trying to work out how you can get the other animals and people to fight each other or fall into traps so you can score your deserved duck dinner.
At 90% off until May 9th you don’t need to be a sly fox to pick this one up. Just click the link!
Bouncy Bob Episode 2
Bouncy Bob Episode 2 is unsurprisingly the sequel to Bouncy Bob. Which made an earlier Steam Deals list. Interestingly while the original was developed by All Those Moments, this second one is developed by MadGamesmith. It’s possible the company changed their name, or perhaps the original 4 members of All Those Moments chose to split into new teams with new names. But either way, the publishing is once again handled by Ultimate Games. The game has the same bouncy style as the first game but with a bunch of new game modes added. Fun for 1-4 players with 12 characters to choose from try blending some fruit or a game of volleyball!
At 90% off until May 9th now is a great time to get some friends together and bounce. However, if you don’t have the first Bouncy Bob you can pick them both up at an increased discount of 92%!
Bad Dream: Fever
Rounding out our list of 6 Steam Indies this week. We have Bad Dream: Fever much like the above Bouncy Bob games, this one is a follow up to another game we’ve covered on the list. Bad Dream: Coma not only was this game also on the same deal list as the first Bouncy Bob but it also rounds out our trilogy of Ultimate Games published titles. Also much like Bouncy Bob the first game isn’t required to enjoy this new game. Especially as this is a completely new narrative following a completely different story. As the name might imply this game tries to evoke the world of sleep when you have a fever. As opposed to the deep unending sleep from the previous Coma entry. Once again you’ll be solving puzzles in an attempt to progress and hopefully wake up ok.
At 90% off until May 9th the only bad dream you’ll have is if you sleep through this sale. Also if you haven’t picked up Coma yet you can get both games in a bundle again for 92% off.
And there we have it, another week, another sale. 6 Steam Indies on sale this week all wrapped up in one easy to find place. Are you thinking of picking any up? Or do you have other deals you’ve found that you want to share? Let us know down in the comments and keep being awesome.

Coffee of choice: I like the sweeter kinds, mixed with chocolate, coconut, caramel etc. but I won’t turn down a flat white or a straight black either.
